There is no other program in the WORLD like YATC's Winter Film Camp. Over the past six years, our films have made it into 16 Festivals, several awards, and gone on the be screened all over the world. Join us in the Santa Cruz mountains for a week of intensive film making lead by our staff of working professionals. They take a break from their busy lives in Hollywood to come teach our campers exactly what it takes to make it in this industry, supplying them with the tools to become the best artist they can!

At YATC, you get to pick your path.
Our Winter Film Camp offers acting, directing, producing, and cinematography - and you get to pick which one you'd like to focus on during 7 days at camp!
We have films of practically every genre - from comedy to horror to documentary to drama - there is a perfect fit for everyone, and YOU get to choose what makes you the most excited!
Once shooting has wrapped and each film is done being edited, each film takes on its own life in the film festival circuit. Because we aren't able to release the short films publicly due to film festival guidelines, YATC hosts its very own Saturday Morning Film Festival to showcase each and every project made at Winter Camp. This gives every camper the opportunity to see their hard work on a giant movie screen in a sold out theater in Livermore, CA. After the Saturday Morning Film Festival, films may take anywhere up to a year after wrapping to release publicly on Youtube because of how in demand YATC shorts are at film festivals around the world. For several years, YATC has premiered shorts at the Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film showcases in the world.

Camp short films have earned over 22 MILLION views on Youtube, and have earned laurels, nominations, and awards at countless film festivals internationally, like the Cannes Film Festival's American Pavilion, Outfits, Sidewalk Film Festival, Monarch Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival, LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival, and dozens of others that were proud to have been part of. WINTER CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY
Winter Camp: December 28 - January 3, 2025/26

Cancel by August 27, 2025: You’ll receive a refund, minus the $1000 non-refundable deposit.

After August 27, 2025: Refunds and transfers are at management’s discretion, and there are no guarantees.

No refunds (full or partial) will be issued for no-shows or early departures.
Travel Insurance Reminder:
We strongly recommend purchasing camp insurance through CampDoc. It protects your investment in case of illness or unexpected schedule changes. Insurance must be purchased within 14 days of registration being received
Students who choose to leave camp early, will not be eligible for a refund or credit for missed days. If a parent/guardian decides to pull a student from camp early, the family is also not eligible for a refund or credit for missed days.
